Description

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of IT & Operations, this position is responsible for the management of University Admissions software applications and business processes. These duties include updating and configuring the Slate CRM, CommonApp, imaging systems, technology workflows into external systems, project management, working with external software vendors, and troubleshooting operations issues. This position is also responsible for the management, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, support, and training for University Admissions technology related equipment. This position will oversee two full-time professional staff members and serve on the Associate Director's IT leadership team. Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.

Responsibilities and Duties

This role will serve as the primary CRM IT lead. Working with the IT & Operations team, this position will work to configure and update the Slate CRM system to meet operational deadlines, data flow and integration, application configuration, software updates and troubleshooting, and departmental trainings. This position also works with the IT/OPS team in supporting the CommonApp application system and the other software systems for University Admission processes.

Supervises two professional staff members who assist with software support and configuration, data analysis, imports, workflow, data entry, IT hardware support and other IT/operations functions. The CRM and IT Operations Manager provides training & development for employees, and completes annual performance reviews and feedback to assist with performance improvement, professional development, and skills/competency development.

Provides management, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, support, and training for University Admissions technology related equipment such as workstations, portable technology, printers, and classroom A/V Equipment. This position will also provide installation, updates, and support for UA operations software.  Additionally, this position will provide software training and general IT support for UA staff. This position acts as a liaison with the Office of Technology Services in adhering to university policy and procedures, security, and best practices. 

Provides general project management and oversight of Admissions related projects and initiatives. In addition to project management, this position will be responsible for the documentation of IT responsibilities or system processes. This position will assist the Associate Director of IT & Operations in the implementation of the new Admissions CRM and manage IT functions within the team.

Serves as a member of the Associate Director's leadership team. Under the direction of the Associate Director, assists with the development of the strategic implementation of new technology and future enhancements and functional systems' improvements. Must have the ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions. Completes general admissions duties including, but not limited to, customer service, applicant processing, special projects, campus committees, and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four years of relevant work experience

Preferred :
  • Degree in IT/technology or related field
  • Relational database experience
  • CRM experience
  • Supervisory experience
