The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leads monthly facility meetings with business units.
- Implements creative solutions to solve issues.
- Determines root causes of issues and drives corrective action
- Supports a cohesive team between San Antonio and Austin
- Willingness to be on-call (interest question) Must be available 24/7 for emergency type issues
- Provide leadership to the Maintenance, Repair and Corporate Services functions.
- Provide technical expertise in managing construction projects in San Antonio and Field Service.
- Responsible for organizing, planning, and directing the complete operation of a sound preventive maintenance and custodial operation for all assigned facilities.
- Develops annual expense and capital project budgets and meets authorized budgets.
- Meets regularly with business unit leaders to develop mutual relationships and effective communication.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Operations or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years' experience managing facility maintenance and capital projects for a mid to large size company in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience with Emergency Management Notification Systems in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience in developing cost-effective maintenance solutions in a private, public, government or military environment
- Three (3) years' experience managing critical systems in support of a data center in a private, public, government or military environment

- Represent the Facilities Team in a professional manner
- Lean Six Sigma skills
Travel: May include up Austin, TX
