The SDN/NFV Orchestration and Assurance Development team is a part of the Global Network Management organization. This team is principally concerned with orchestration, service assurance and life cycle management of virtualized network functions (VNFs). The primary objective is to utilize our orchestration and assurance platform(s) to drive full end-to-end automation of every VNF from cataloging, to instantiation to full Life Cycle Management of each element over time. You will develop and manage solutions that capitalize on opportunities for automation, and work closely with users, IT management, and other interfacing systems to realize them by implementing the E2E feature lifecycle, from creating user stories to demonstrating the deployed feature to users. You also manage the platform in all the environments, build automations to manage the systems effectively and efficiently to ensure full availability and responsiveness.
Designing, developing and deploying solutions that enable automated onboarding and configuration of virtualized network functions and services (including cloud-native network functions)
Managing the kubernetes platform, the application, and associated automations in all the environments.
Working with broader Verizon teams to understand the VNF onboarding process and granular steps they employ to onboard, automate and configure different types of VNFs/CNFs/NSs
Identifying opportunities to automate the manual tasks including identification of new features required for automation and enhancing the features that exist to reduce the total VNF onboarding timeframe.
Working with Application and Operational owners to create user stories with sufficient detail.
Designing innovative solutions to generate tremendous business value by saving time and effort while providing excellent user experience.
Managing the end-to-end delivery of automated solutions by working closely with stakeholders, interfacing systems, and developers around the world.
