Resilience is ushering in an era of “Biomanufacturing-as-a-Service” that we expect will displace in-house manufacturing as well as traditional contract manufacturing and development organizations (CDMOs). We see this as a paradigm shift in biomanufacturing akin to the IT industry’s adoption of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that rendered obsolete corporate-owned/operated data centers or corporate servers co-located in hosting facilities.
We are looking for a Principal Security Engineer to join our Security team. With a focus on System Integration support for third-party cloud and on-prem system deployments, you will support our internal digital teams to securely deploy newly acquired solutions by creating secure deployment patterns and security controls. You are a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative and who can proactively identify issues and drive recommend actions.
You will support Resilience IT and Business partners by evaluating deployment architecture and
providing structured guidance to enforce security best practices, policy, and regulatory requirements. The role requires an excellent collaborator to manage security requirements across multiple teams and stakeholders and out-of-the-box thinker to overcome technical obstacles from a wide range of different technologies.
Secure implementation of Third-Party systems and products
Utilize standard system deployment models to defend against common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, CWEs, etc.)
Supports security governance and assurance throughout solution deployment for enterprise technology architecture compliance
Works with project stakeholders to analyze system needs and provide appropriate deployment model for secure implementation
Facilitate Threat Modeling exercises with project stakeholders to demonstrate comprehensive mitigating controls
Develop processes, playbooks, and architecture to support customer self-service solution deployments and inclusion of enterprise security controls.
Develop automation capabilities to support rapid secure system deployments
Coaches, mentors, and leads technical subject matters experts to enable and drive consistency across technology implementations
12+ years' experience in application security and system integration
8+ years' experience in architecting/operating solutions transitioning to AWS, Azure, GCP, or other public cloud providers
Adept in designing and evaluating technical concepts in depth which include security for cloud-based systems
Expert level understanding of network protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, ARP, BGP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, and ICMP
Broad, hands-on, experience with Active Directory, Windows and Linux Server operating system security, and other foundational technologies.
Expert in deploying IT systems in alignment to industry security frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc.)
Professional experience implementing RESTful web services and secure API integration
Well-verse d in software development using one or more languages (Java, Rust, Python, etc.)
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the use of security tools and technology including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), file integrity monitoring, endpoint hardening (STIG & CIS) & management, and vulnerability management
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 or EudraLex Volume 4 – GMP Guidelines, Annex 11 and DFARS 252.204-7012 or NIST 800-171
