Waller is currently recruiting for a Security Program Manager. This position will ensure the stable operation of the Firm’s information security systems infrastructure and reporting. This person will work with other members of the IT Department to define the Security Program that will optimize the functionality of all technology to leverage security protections, threat detection and remediation. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve systems security issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT investments. This will be a client facing position and from time to time will provide both written and verbal updates directly to the Responsible Attorney and associated client.
Develop, design, manage and track the overall Security Program
Maintain overall Security Awareness Program
Coordinating with the Infrastructure Manager to, recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
Assist with configuration and day-to-day operations on new data center architecture.
Advise on security methodology for all network hardware and equipment, including the Firm’s computer, voice, and data network systems.
Responsible for all security systems level work including all operating systems, client/server technology, virtualization platforms and the integrity of all end user application as it relates to security
Ensure secure network connectivity of all workstations.
Audit system backups and recovery for quality and accuracy.
Research, evaluate, recommend and once approved assist in installation of new security capabilities for the Firm’s datacenter components, telecommunication and network infrastructure including the hardware and software components of each.
Assists with implementing policies and procedures for the 24/7 functionality of the Firm’s Azure Hybrid environment.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure – hybrid architecture (Azure) preferred
Familiarity with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) such as VxRails, Scale, Nutanix, etc.
Familiarity with Linux server operating systems is a plus
Server virtualization experience – (VMWare, Hyper-V)
PowerShell automation and scripting
Backup system design experience (Veeam, Avamar, Data Domain, Cloud-based)
Must be highly technically proficient with a natural affinity for technology
Working technical knowledge of network, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Windows PC operating systems
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills
Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
Familiarity with DarkTrace, Cloud Strike or similar technologies and services
Highly self-motivated and directed
Keen attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong customer service orientation
CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certifications
CCNA or better certification (Preferred)
VCP or better VMWare certification (Preferred)
Preferred Microsoft certifications (Azure Fundamentals, MCSE, MCSA, MTA)
