The Journey Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, testing, implementing, administering, managing, and supporting enterprise/service provider level systems and services. Responsibilities include analyzing systems/networking/security requirements, specifying equipment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving system/networking/security problems, monitoring and enforcing University network standards and policies. This position is also responsible for assessing current and emerging system/service implementations and practices, and provides consulting support on the design and implementation of systems and services to University colleges and departments.
A Bachelor's degree in a related technology field plus two years of information technology experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Expertise in the configuration and management of servers.
Expertise in the configuration and management of servers.
Expertise managing HRM and SSO integration workflows.
Experience tracing service failures across multiple servers and processes.
Experience with MSSQL and T-SQL.
Competency with enterprise virtualization and data storage technologies and tools, such as VMWare/VSphere and Pure.
Competency with enterprise monitoring solutions; such as Zabbix, and Splunk
Competency with source management such as git
Exposure to project management practices (either Agile or PMP) and the demonstrated ability to follow project management guidelines to complete projects successfully.
Expertise with supporting a hybrid in-house and vendor hosted IAM process.
Expertise in the configuration and management of Linux-based servers.
Professional experience reviewing, testing, designing, building and delivering IAM services in a large, complex, and diverse enterprise environment.
Working knowledge and understanding of LDAP and/or Active Directory.
Demonstrated ability to work individually.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
Ability to convey technical information to a diverse audience through written documents and oral presentations.
Experience preparing proposals for executive approval.
Professional experience reviewing, testing, designing, building and delivering Data Center services in a large, complex, and diverse enterprise environment.
Deep understanding of Data Center-related technological constructs around space, power, cooling and security.
