Title: Principal Optical Hardware Development Engr

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

 

  • Design board-level electronics for coherent optical communications subsystems including analog optical controls for photonic integrated circuit modules. 
  • Designs will utilize off the shelf components, including op-amps, ADCs/DACs, linear and switching power supplies, and highspeed logic including FPGAs, microprocessors, and memories.
  • Lead development of integration test procedures, test specifications, and design verification test plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with optical, systems hardware, firmware, software, PIC, and DSP design teams.

The position will mentor less senior engineers to assist them in gaining critical experience and understanding.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years performing circuit design on communications equipment

Key Experience : 

  • Must have design experience with DACs/ADCs, switch supplies, LDO supplies, FPGA, and microprocessors.
  • Must have experience with control circuit design for tunable lasers, 
  • Must have design experience with either DWDM communications or optical transceivers products.
