Market Facing Activities:
In conjunction with the CBRE Data Center Sector Leader, be the face and voice of the Data Center platform, promoting the CBRE story and be comfortable and convincing with all levels of CBRE professionals, clients, peers, and industry experts. Pursue business activities that increase CBRE revenue for Data Center Sector professionals and enhances CBRE's competitive position.
Partner with the Data Center Sector Leader to continually enhance, build out and improve the CBRE value proposition, including:
Data Center services roadmap
Data Center Brand and PR Strategy
Global Data Center Research and Thought Leadership agenda
Integration with complementary Advisory Services
Exploration and pursuit of key M&A targets
Lead or support Strategic Recruiting efforts
Constantly monitor and solution for market trends, opportunities, and competitive threats
Develop and help lead an overall Data Center Sector strategy, leveraging best practices to enable growth for CBRE professionals in the sector
Identify and communicate market trends, opportunities and competitive threats
Partner with the A&T leadership team and other relevant lines of business to share best practices, pursuit alignment and further occupier and investor growth initiatives
Partner with Data Center Sector Leader, Marketing and Research leadership to produce internal and external world class events
Business Development & Consultative Selling:
Create and proactively pursue a target list of clients
Track, or lead the tracking of, all client development activity using CBRE sales management products
Coordinate with Local Market Area (LMA) leaders, Business Development teams and brokerage professionals to identify and qualify pursuit strategies and prospects
Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary pursuit team for threshold pursuits, including brokerage, project management, portfolio management and / or consulting & advisory services
Lead the development of a tailored "win strategy" for threshold pursuits and accounts, while ensuring coordinated team selling with a primary capability in selling Data Center Advisory, including the following focus:
Business Case Analysis
Finishing First Process - key focus on the diagnostic
Client relationship building/maintenance
Manage the creation of integrated proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials with the pursuit team and national / local marketing professionals
Lead, guide, and/or participate in client meetings / presentations and lead presentation preparation sessions
Lead / oversee pricing and contract negotiations
Complete post-mortems to identify critical success factors in pursuits and use data to consistently strengthen and improve pursuit strategies

Lead innovation and change, continually evolving the Data Center platform and driving best practices

The Data Center Agency Leader will support commercial real estate brokers in sales and business development, team development, RFPs, and client presentations. Must be recognized as an expert and leader in the Data Center Sector. Must possess proven leadership and relationship building experience. A strong sense of urgency, solid time management skills, an affinity for creativity and marketing will contribute to the success of the individual in this role. Excellent writing and presentation skills are required. Must have exceptional conceptual skills for an understanding of the larger function of the role. Marketing and finance skills will also contribute to the success of the individual in this role. Knowledge of the commercial real estate industry is preferred, with experience as a proven solution development professional, ideally with a consultative background.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university required. A minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible experience, including:
Strong experience in managing diverse teams solving critical client issues
Demonstrated knowledge/capabilities in the areas of financial analysis, business administration, marketing, business development and consultative sales
Experience with a strong service-orientation and an "advisory role" in client relationships
Proven ability to think strategically and to synthesize the most complex business and financial data
A background with utilizing an entrepreneurial approach and developing innovative solutions
Knowledge, expertise and successful track record in the Data Center and Digital Infrastructure business across a diverse regional, national and global market set.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Real Estate , brokerage license required as appropriate for the business unit. Participation in professional and industry organizations desired. Conducts and maintains relationships with industry and trade associations.
Ability to communicate effectively to justify or defend sensitive matters with executives.
Possesses advanced financial skills and knowledge to review the complex financial reports prepared by others and to make recommendations to executives that impact division/line of business/company
Ability to review and analyze recommendations and results provided by others that directly impact division/line of business/company.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
A strong entrepreneurial and creative spirit. Some knowledge and understanding of all facets of property and asset management, leasing, brokerage, marketing, and financial reporting. Is flexible and adept at handling multiple priorities and initiatives. Displays excellent organizational skills. High level of integrity and ethics is critical.
