The successful candidate for the Senior System Administrator Linux/Unix position will be responsible for but not limited to:
Manage systems for our European headquarters in Zug, affiliated branches and Co-locations
Surveillance of the systems in North America and Asia during European office hours
Assure guarantee of the system stability and real-time control of performance
Development of tools for surveillance and automation of system administrative tasks
6+ years of experience in Linux/Unix administration with demonstrated System Administration skills
Excellent and deep knowledge of the Linux OS
Strong proficiency with Perl, Python, shells,
Network services via Ethernet, IP, FC,
Configuration management in large scale environments, Ansible, Puppet, YAML
Experience in working with virtual environments, VMware, KVM
Data center experience, remote management
Backup, restore systems and procedures
Able to investigate and solve highly complex production issues
Organized, efficient, team-oriented work habits
Excellent interpersonal skills and service-oriented attitude
Strong analytical abilities and problem solving / trouble shooting skills
Able to work on complex tasks independently or as part of a project team
Motivated and willing to take responsibility
Fluency in English
Weekly on-call rotation
Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies
Experience in standardization and IT automation
Good understanding of network-based storage systems
Knowledge of Linux kernel, Linux clustering, Cloud services, Containers
Experience in working with Mac OS and Linux/Unix Desktops
Previous experience in Project Management and leadership is a plus
