Smith Micro Software is looking for an IT Director with experience supporting a growing technology company. You will be responsible for management, strategy and execution of IT operations and infrastructure for our global organization and will report directly to the VP of Operations. The goal is to ensure IT systems, projects, employee computers and IT staff are effective and functioning within the limits of budget, time, and specifications of the company. Responsibilities include:

• Management of entire global IT staff
• Knowledge and technical experience as a Senior Network Engineer is helpful
• Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and computing storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning
• Communicate clearly with IT staff, Development & QE teams as well as other groups within Smith Micro
• Oversee the operation of the data center hosting servers, engineering tools and applications
• Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data security
• Direct and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades
• Identify and recommend new technology solutions that we can implement to improve the performance of the company
• Manage budget and vendor relationships
• Assist in supporting engineering labs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience
• 8+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and managing large information technology projects
• Excellent understanding of computer systems (Windows & MacBook), security, network and data center maintenance
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket tools
• Sound understanding of Cisco network solutions, F5 Load Balancers.
• Experience working with VMWare, Veeam & vCenter
• Ability to multi-tasks in fast paced environment
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines while providing 7x24x365 support.
