POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides expertise on highly complex system applications, working with large databases and other advanced analytical tools utilizing advanced knowledge of statistics, predictive modeling and data mining. This position proactively identifies new opportunities for the organization to improve on, using advanced scientific approaches and methods. Is the subject matter expert on highly complex system applications and leads project teams. This includes analyzing highly complex data and building complex reports and/or data repositories and other presentation materials. Acts as project manager on system integrations, migration to new systems, system enhancements, including managing timelines, budgets, collaboration with IT, management of third-party providers, field training, and adoption. Oversees team responsibility for creating functional documentation, reviewing technical documentation, system configuration, creating training materials and leading cross functional teams through projects and/or issues to achieve desired results. Leads team of System Coordinators.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Supervises the daily activities and operations of non-exempt, exempt and/or technical staff. Provides training and development for staff.

2. Improves efficiency and accomplishes operational objectives. Identifies and resolves tactical problems. Resolves basic to moderately complex customer complaints or problems.

3. Accountable for the daily performance of a unit. Makes decisions - guided by policies, procedures and own business plan - that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of own unit and other units with interrelated processes. Works within budgetary/financial objectives set by manager.

4. Interacts primarily with direct reports, supervisor, internal customers, peer managers, patients and physicians.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess strong knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in related business discipline to area assigned or computer science.

Database Administration certification. A level of experience as would typically be obtained in three to five years working with systems, working as a functional "super-user" of an application in a similar department environment, or providing consultative input for application usage or design is required.

Two years people leadership experience. Three years project management experience.

Excellent working knowledge of typical word processing, spreadsheet and/or database applications is required. Good organizational, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and human relation skills are required.

Three to five years of experience as Database Administrator, DBA, and/or Report writer.

Three to five years of Enterprise Data Center experience supporting mission critical, 24x7, database architectures.

Extensive knowledge of database support concepts. Demonstrated experience with designing and managing relational databases with multiple RDBMS vendors (SQL and PostgreSQL).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems preferred.

Microsoft SQL Certifications - MCP, MCITP, and/or MCTS preferred.

Data Analytics certification such as CAP preferred.

Understanding of facilities operations information systems such as CMMS, Space Management, Utility Management. Proficiency with MS Office suite, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Microsoft BI or Tableau.
