GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW EMI (Enterprise Medical Imaging) is seeking a talented individual to join the Platform team in support of an undertaking by Mass General Brigham (MGB) that aims to transform healthcare through consolidation of electronic systems to support enterprise wide medical record access (research & clinical), artificial intelligence (AI) for diagnostics and improvement of provider communication and reporting. We are seeking an Engineer who has a strong understanding of systems knowledge across the stack: Linux, Windows, DBA, networking, application design, and what's necessary to take an application into production. We're looking for self-starters with a strong sense of urgency, comfortable working independently and sourcing input where required, and with a tolerance for operating in a fast-paced environment. As our Inference Platform moves into he clinical space, after hours on call support will be required. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Building and maintaining tools and solutions associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors. • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues. • Building and maintaining tools and solutions associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards. • Use the MGB values to govern decisions, actions and behaviors. These values guide how we get our work done: Patients, Affordability, Accountability & Service Commitment, Decisiveness, Innovation & Thoughtful Risk; and how we treat each other: Diversity & Inclusion, Integrity & Respect, Learning, Continuous Improvement & Personal Growth, Teamwork & Collaboration Qualifications • 8+ years experience supporting Linux and Windows • Experience with Kubernetes or other containerization software • Experience with service discovery, service meshes • Experience with SQL and relational databases • Experience with InfluxDB or other time series DB - a Plus • Experience with Azure and/or other off prem data center cloud offering - Significant Plus • Experience deploying and managing systems in production • Practical knowledge of Linux Shell, C#, Python or similar scripting language SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES • Strong sense of urgency and proactiveness • Ability to function effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment, organize and prioritize work independently, and meet tight deadlines • Self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to learn quickly • Strong analytical, planning, organization and time management skills with a high attention to detail • Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, WorkFront, Scrum • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with technical teams, cross-functional teams, and staff at all levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical personnel • Ability to relate to and gain insights from product end users • Excellent and succinct written and oral communication skills • Ability to effectively conduct meetings and lead and facilitate large working sessions with all levels of staff and across various stakeholder groups • Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds and levels within and external to the organization • Ability to empathize with the end user, understand and intuit customer needs and gain insights from product end users • Demonstrates strong evidence of algorithmic and structured thinking, and intuition for logic, pattern matching, what-if analysis, problem decomposition. and synthesis • Demonstrates ability to organize and incorporate complex systems requirements into product features and prioritize features effectively EEO Statement Mass General Brigham is an Equal Opportunity Employer & by embracing diverse skills, perspectives and ideas, we choose to lead.
