CBRE is looking for a Industrial Process Water Program Manager to work on construction projects related to Hyperscale Data Centers for a large technology client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and assist in the technical development of Site Due Diligence and Site Masterplan studies.(DD2 & MP)
Develop and optimize standard engineering programs for new site planning purposes.(DDscope & MPscope)
Develop site planning standard engineering designs and tools to streamline the design process.(W/WWTP, lift and booster station standard scope, costs and planning metrics)
Analyze utility usage data, identify optimizations and help present recommendations to management.
Assist development of water policy approach and enforcement.
Review utility agreements and recommend technical guidance and verbiage.
NO direct reports. Does not manage other individuals, but may manage team progress. Individual contributor role.
Resource will work from home or their current corporate / branch office. No onsite work in the foreseeable future, but may have some travel in the latter part of 2021
Ideal Candidate Description
Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with a positive can-do attitude and seek to overcome unique design challenges.
Experience planning utility capacity for large commercial, institutional or industrial water facilities.
Experience developing and reviewing design drawings for treatment and distribution projects.
Great communicator with the ability to express complex ideas in a concise manner through all forms of digital mediums (design drawings, presentations, video conference) both internally and with external parties.
Highly organized and able to adapt to changing project priorities in a fast paced environment to ensure projects stay on schedule.
Strong work ethic that internal and external team members can depend on.
Experience coordinating scope with multiple discipline trades (Architecture, telecom, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural)
Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Experience with utility scale and project planning inside and outside of the US.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum four years of related experience. Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering Bachelor's Degree required.
5+ years of experience with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in planning, design and construction of large industrial or institutional utility projects.
Familiarity with Google Drive and all related products (sheets, docs, slides).
Experience and general knowledge of cross discipline teams: structural, civil, IT/Telecom, mechanical, electrical, architectural.
Practical knowledge of large scale, complex data center infrastructure.
Practical knowledge of utility treatment and distribution systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.
Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
