Senior Infrastructure Lead

Work you’ll do

• Leading and supporting the design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of multiple infrastructure domains (servers, network, virtualization, storage, middleware, security, messaging, data bases, applications, etc.), the infrastructure supporting an integrated application environment deployed across multi-site physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure. 
• Leading and supporting infrastructure operations supporting a local and wide area network in a secure Federal Government environment.
• Leading systems engineering team and technical expertise in the planning, design, and implementation of high availability environments and infrastructure to include replication and synchronization of secure high-availability systems and applications. 
• Maintaining security, operations and maintenance of local and wide area networks using automated network management and monitoring tools, responding to both client and user requests for applications assistance and network modifications and enhancements. 
• Supporting IT security tools, SA&A processes, FISCAM control implementations, strategies and practices related to Federal Government environments.

Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

 

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

 

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years of experience with server virtualization

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification 

• VMWare Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certification

• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification 

• AWS certification 

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need
  for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

• Prior work experience at financial or mortgage-backed securities (MBS) organization 
• 3+ years of experience with Virtualization: Virtualization Server, Storage, Desktop, Network; Reducing Sprawl
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Data Center support
• 2+ years of experience with Servers, Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Infrastructure Cost Reduction
• 2+ years of experience with legacy system engineering assessments, discovering the build and details surrounding the system in order to re-build it in a new hosted environment
