Job Description This is a challenging position within the Moody's Platform Engineering team , working across lines of business and technology teams. You'll be responsible for collecting data from all platforms, all applications/ processes logs, KPIs etc. Define & design collection process, data flow, data structure, reporting and understand behavior of infrastructure/application/batch processes usage.
Provide insight from data collection during Incidents, performance issue, outlier based on KPI/trend/usage.
Fundamentals and knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure Components like Microsoft Active Directory, Load balancers, Exchange, Firewall, OS, network, storage, VMware, OpenShift, OS logs/events etc.
Write code for data collection (pull or push) to Database
Knowledge of Kafka will be plus
Provide world-class support across cloud engineering, operations and applications
Provide detailed, high-quality communication and documentation
Track projects and tasks in JIRA
BS/BA, (Education may be substituted for increased years in experience on a year-for-year basis)
Minimum 15+ years of experience in IT industry in relevant area, with at least 2 years of experience supporting workloads in public cloud & private cloud/data centers environments.
AWS certification is a plus
Experience supporting applications and platforms
Application delivery and automation experience using Python
Ability to automate common and repeatable tasks/processes with Python/Ansible
Experience interacting with APIs to automate processes i.e. Strong working knowledge with HTTPS, TLS, SFTP, SSH, FTPS etc. for secure data transmission using managed file transfer or via REST APIs.
Expert in Microsoft PowerShell and advanced Unix Shell Scripting
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from
independent research on data collection
Configuration Management and Automation using Ansible
Understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Compute: EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda
Database: Oracle, MongoDB, Sybase, Postgres
Database scripting: t-sql / stored procedure to data cleanup, views etc.
Tableau reporting development experience preferred
