Expedient is looking to hire a Web Application Engineer to join our Information Systems team in Pittsburgh. This position will work collaboratively to build web applications utilized by internal and external customers.

Work as part of a small and talented team to design, build, maintain and improve web applications that support the cloud and managed service business
Leverage cloud-native technologies to deliver distributed applications using modern platforms and practices such as Kubernetes and CI/CD
Work on a high-performance Scrum team to build great tools and have an impact
Minimum two years of development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (we primarily use PHP)
Experience working with MySQL or similar relational database such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server
Experience and knowledge of best practices: object-oriented design, SOLID principles, CI/CD, testing
Interest and ability to learn technologies and platforms
Ability to collaborate effectively
Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
Experience using automation platforms such as Jenkins to manage continuous integration and continuous delivery
Experience writing applications which consume and/or provide RESTful APIs
Comfortable presenting and discussing code in a group setting
Strong communication skills
