Market Job Description
You will work as a Data Center Operating Systems Engineer supporting the team for planning, forecasting, day-to-day operations and optimization within the regional Data Centre's.
As a full-time Data Center Operations Engineer, your mission is to support the day to day technology operations of Wells Fargo mission critical best-in-class data centers in EMEA region.

You have the holistic understanding of data center critical facility and what it takes to create and operate an optimal, safe, secured, risk averse environment in which the mission critical technology infrastructure operates.
Having established length of experience and being part of the data center management team, you are responsible for running and supervision of data center.
Provide support for problem root cause analysis, correction and prevention.
Ensure all Availability Management Processes are followed.
Assist in the creation and execution of the EMEA data center strategy in line with enterprise strategy.
Actively participate in all projects effecting critical rooms, providing subject matter expertise in design and operations.
Support all types of Technology infrastructure projects including hardware, networks, storage, backup, virtual server and information security components.
Foster relationship and delivery for third party vendors.
Act as subject matter expert for Technology during planning and execution of scheduled power downs and critical facility works.
Act timely on events to prevent service disruption.
Actively participate in Data Centre Governance / Audit Readiness programs - assist in the completion of Monthly Audit Readiness and Governance procedures and reporting.
Actively participate in BCP/Disaster recovery events and related simulation exercises.
Evenings, weekends and bank holiday coverage on site work will be required- including vendor escorting or event management (site outages).
International travel will be required.
Market Skills and Certifications
You have minimum Bachelor's degree in either Computer Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
TIA-942 knowledge is required. TIA-942 Design Consultant certification is preferred.
Certified Data Center Professional or equivalent covering architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire, safety/security, fire systems and telecom is preferred.
Excellent knowledge of structured IT cabling infrastructure – Fiber and Copper plant. Design and Engineering, Installation and Maintenance.
You have the experience designing, building, commissioning critical technology facility, taking into consideration of various key aspects like the power, cooling, fire systems, security, raised floor systems, conveyance, signal reference grid, layer-1 and telecoms.
Good understanding of technology infrastructure including data center hardware, telecom carrier circuits, network and voice infrastructure, servers, storage and appliances.
Hands on technical support of critical services in a high-pressure environment.
Experience in physical rack and stack of servers and network devices.
Strong communicator (both written and verbal).
Good documentation skills with the ability to articulate complex topics in a concise and articulate manner.
Experience in Change Controls, Incident and Problem management.
Familiarity with NetZoom and MS Visio is preferred.
Project Management knowledge is appreciated.
