Our largest hospital, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center (GSRMC) in Corvallis, is currently seeking an experienced, dynamic, strategic Nurse Manager – for The Center for Women and Families (LDRP). One of only five Level II trauma centers in Oregon, with over 2,000 employees and licensed for over 180 beds, GSRMC offers dozens of medical specialties including comprehensive cancer care, a full-service cardiology and cardiovascular surgery program, neurosurgery, orthopedic and spine surgery, inpatient mental health and other regional services.
GSRMC is located in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon which has unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities, easy access to the Oregon Coast and Cascade Mountain range, world class wineries, and is home to a PAC-12 University (Oregon State University).
The Center for Women and Families proudly features the following departmental structure and services:
- 7 LDR’s, 1 Triage, 1 Full functioning OR-C-sections & Postpartum Tubal Ligations - Total staff FTE’s -54.4
- 24/7 Designated OB surgical Techs
- 24/7 Designated Anesthesia
- All L&D RN’s Circulate, provide immediate post-op recovery
- Only site providing Trial of Labor/VBAC after C-Section in the Samaritan service area
- High acuity level 1 Nursery with 5 Special Care Nursery beds. Providing higher level newborn care for 35 weeks and greater.
- Lactation Services - Maternity Care *Active member of Oregon Perinatal Collaborative & Oregon Maternal Data Center*
The Nurse Manager provides collaborative leadership for the process of planning, directing, integrating and coordinating activities to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high quality services. Responsible for operations of assigned department(s). Provides oversight as needed; responsible for personnel management, budget planning and monitoring, scheduling, systems improvement, compliance with regulatory requirements and strategic planning. Works in a clinical capacity to facilitate smooth functioning of the department when necessary.
BSN or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred. Current unencumbered Oregon RN License required. Two (2) years RN experience and two (2) years in a leadership role required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Successful completion of management courses/education program preferred. GSR LDRP: NRP required within six (6) months of hire. STABLE required within one (1) year of hire.
