The Senior Systems Administrator will share responsibility for supporting all mission critical systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will work closely with both the Director of IT and the CIO as well as key contractors and vendor teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve system related problems.
Conduct Tier 2 & 3 server administration.
Resolve a wide range of system issues including troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks.
Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of all system elements.
Design, deploy, and maintain Windows servers and virtual environments.
Design, implement, and maintain critical system monitoring components (3rd party tools and custom scripts).
Troubleshoot alerts generated by a server monitoring.
Read, modify, and develop bash scripts for monitoring and/or automation as necessary.
Communicate/coordinate scheduled PM windows with potentially impacted customers.
