Our Client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, has an immediate need for an Oracle Operations Lead. The position is located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a full time permanent position. Ideal candidates must have prior experience working with and overseeing work of an off-shore team. Also, should have technical Oracle Database Management skills along with Middleware experience.
The Oracle Operations Lead role is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction and architectural guidance of Company's Oracle Database and Middleware technologies. This role will provide leadership for day-to-day operations of Oracle Database and Middleware environment and will also be responsible for overseeing incident and problem response, managing SLAs and the patching and lifecycle management of the organization’s Oracle technical stack.
Work with off-shore staff to ensure reliable and effective development and operational support for Oracle environment.
Lead Proactive monitoring, tracking and reporting efforts as well as ongoing process and system improvements in the Oracle space.
Responsible for ensuring that Oracle platform remains compliant with internal and external process requirements.
Analyze changes to the current environment to ensure that current architecture can support the change.
Analyze changes to the capacity plan to ensure that the future Oracle architecture will meet requirements.
Maintain an in-depth awareness of Oracle technologies, roadmaps, and development activities. Help identify the organization’s cloud strategy and identify opportunities presented in the realm of Oracle technologies.
Develop forward technical vision and strategy for the company’s Oracle platform.
Lead DR testing within the Oracle space as well as maintain the capability to devise new DR procedures where necessary.
Oracle 10g Database Administration (Subject Matter Expert) - 7+ years of experience required
Install, Configure, Maintain and act as a subject matter expert for Fusion Middleware
Experience leading a team required
Oracle E-business suite, RMAN, Commvault, Data Guard - preferred
Knowledge of data center and infrastructure environment- preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
