Active Directory management and Microsoft Server security - The Systems Administrator/DevOps position will help maintain BC's Active Directory and server environment. Security must always be the most important priority when managing our Active Directory Domain and Microsoft servers. Experience with Azure AD, Office 365 in the cloud and other cloud expertise. Following Best Practices and Change Control are critical job requirements for this position.
Automation - Automation is critical to the team's future success in managing the growing complexity and an increasing number of servers and applications. We strive to automate as many tasks as possible. Automation, and a DevOps approach, is becoming increasingly important with the growing need to integrate Windows and Unix\Linux machines into our environment.
Microsoft Windows Operating System - The Windows group is responsible for the entire life cycle of Microsoft Windows Servers in the data center. This includes building new servers, maintaining/patching them and retiring the servers when they are no longer needed. Linux experience is desirable as this Senior Systems Administrator position will work with servers in the data center and help with both Linux and Windows server automated deployments, transfer files across OS types and various scripting needs.
Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:
Senior Windows Systems Administrator: A minimum of five years in a Windows/AD environment. Salary up to 110K.
Key Infrastructure Services/Skillsets:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required plus at least 5 years of relevant experience. Expert level knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and optionally Linux Operating System Strong Windows Platform Engineering Skills with DevOps mindset Experience with Cloud Solution Providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) Scripting/Coding skills as it relates to producing modular, reusable, clean maintainable code that drives the infrastructure Strong working knowledge of VMWare management Experience with Windows clustering Automation tool experience like Packer for VMWare template creation Source code control experience with GIT and CI/CD processes Experience with infrastructure automation including tools such as Ansible and Python Advanced PowerShell/PowerCLI experience for Windows and VMWare Experience with Container based solutions management (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred Experience with Identity Management (Active Directory, SAML, ADFS, OAUTH) Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and reporting tools such as Splunk and Turbonomics Able to follow ITIL, SAS115 controls, HIPAA and PCI requirements Participate in disaster recovery drills Write custom scripts and create Group Policy Object (GPO) Perform system patching and hardware maintenance Familiar with current storage management technology like Storage Area Networks (SANs), network-attached storage (NAS), storage arrays, fiber channel technology, and random array of independent disks (RAID) Experience with designing an Active Directory environment for an enterprise environment to include designing global and group policies, designating organization units (OUs) and delegating authority in an AD environment Excellent presentation and documentation skills Project management experience Able to work in a dynamic team environment Must be available to provide off-hours support
