JOB TITLE: Enterprise Command Center Engineer, Intermediate
LOCATION: Geisinger Office Building I Annex (Old Data Center)
DEPARTMENT: IT Enterprise Command Center
WORK SCHEDULE: Nights
WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)
Responsible for executing and monitoring the ongoing activities and procedures required to manage and maintain Geisinger’s IT infrastructure. Delivers these IT services at agreed upon levels. Acts as a point of contact for IT staff experiencing an ongoing incident.
Assist the ECC Team Lead or Senior ECC Engineer in developing and refining policies, procedures and training for the ECC staff.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates knowledge of infrastructure fundamentals associated with Server, Network, Storage and Data Center hardware and software.
Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates ability to interoperate with other IT disciplines within the organization.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
Must work effectively on their own, but also work well in a team environment.
Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Four years Information Technology Experience
Associate’s Degree or equivalent
If a suitably experienced candidate cannot be found, applicants who meet the basic qualifications but possess fewer years of experience will be considered for hire at a lower level. Salary would commensurate with experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
Current Pennsylvania Driver's License required. Traveling to other Geisinger Health System locations may be necessary.
