Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Systems, the Systems Analyst deploys, maintains and troubleshoots all data center systems. The incumbent utilizes in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux in a VMware ESX virtualized environment to manage current systems and deploy new systems. The incumbent provisions LUNS on EVA and 3Par SANS along with zoning, hba driver installation, and kernel building as required. The incumbent programs system management scripts utilizing shell, Perl, PowerShell and Expect. Finally, the incumbent installs, maintains, develops and supports systems and software for telecommunications (voice/video/data) or other technologies on an as needed basis as determined by the University Director of Information Systems and Technology.
1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus three years experience in Windows, VMware and UNIX Systems. Master's Degree preferred. Additional related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
2.Knowledge of Storage Area Network along with zoning, hba driver installation, and kernel building experience.
3.Thorough working knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP.
4.Clear understanding of OpenSSL and certificate management.
5.In depth knowledge and significant past experience configuring a Radius implementation, MySQL and SQlserver dbms.
6.Strong Windows and Redhat Linux server management skills and the ability to demonstrate such.
7.Effective organizational skills to meet schedules and timelines, including follow-thru after disruptions.
8.Effective oral and written communication skills.
9.Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of University personnel and students.
10.Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies.
11.Valid Driver's license and accessibility to transportation.
