Senior Network Engineer/Security Analyst is responsible for design, installation, analysis, monitoring, utilization, and operations of enterprise campus Data Center, Internet connectivity, and network security systems. Provide advanced technical network support, security engineering support, and network analytical investigation. Utilize engineering expertise to configure and install network and security equipment, network and security appliances, as well as other various technologies. Program enhanced network and security functionalities, alerts, and preventative measures in order to ensure high reliability of mission critical campus infrastructure.
Must have thorough knowledge of Ethernet networks and security design. Thorough knowledge of the OSI Model. Thorough knowledge of firewalls, vulnerability assessment tools, penetration testing, routers, switches, Debian GNU/Linux servers, and other network and security equipment. Thorough knowledge of network and security management, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools. Knowledge of telecommunications distribution design and cabling installation. Knowledge of Visio. Proficient Project Management skills. Proficient analytical skills. Proficient communications skills (both written and oral). Ability to work well with others. Ability to plan, organize, and follow-through multiple projects simultaneously. Technology certifications desirable.
