The Department of Neurology is looking for a temporary Short Term Casual (Assisting HPC Administrator) to join us for 3 months, 16 hours per week.
Under the guidance of the High Performance Cluster Administrator the duties are as follow:
Assisting with the maintenance and upgrade of the High Performance Cluster.
Assist with administration of the cluster and its operating system and also with supporting desktop users.
Physically install and move computing and storage servers along with network equipment at the data center.
Assist in configuring servers and/or networking equipment as needed and assisting desktop users.
Provide any required assistance to the HPC Administrator, cluster users, and the IT group.
High School graduate or equivalency certificate required.
Must have a strong understanding of computers and related equipment.
Experience with configuring severs, various operating systems and/or networking equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience with datacenters, servers, or networking equipment. Experience with Linux operating system and any programming languages.
