The IT Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for maintaining information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Required location for this role is working onsite in our Greensboro, NC office.
Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
Works cooperatively with IT Infrastructure and others to develop strategic and tactical plans to facilitate and coordinate the delivery of technical services.
Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Works with Purchasing and ITS support staff to coordinate the ordering, receiving, and payment activities related to the acquisition of new technology.
Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Maintains technical and operational documentation on the all aspects of IT.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Seven years of responsible professional experience in supporting/managing complex networked systems and an enterprise IT Support. Experience with windows desktop and server operating systems with support/troubleshooting enterprise applications.
2-3 years of team management experience with handling desktop/helpdesk/systems/network support teams.
Knowledge of CentOS, Windows, Linux servers and network operating systems; wide area networks, telephone systems, internet services, exchange, office 365, web services and other hardware and a variety of software with project management skills.
Ability to: communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing; analyze problems and solve a variety of highly technical issues; effectively negotiate/influence others; establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel at all levels.
