MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The candidate for the position of Infrastructure Operations Analyst must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as business administration, computer science, computer information systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Two years of experience in information technology, infrastructure or operations.
Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ability to create and edit effective reports that highlight the key decisions to be made, and the progress of various projects.
Clear customer service orientation.
Experience with procurement activities including soliciting quotes, ordering equipment, tracking vendor expenses, generating purchase orders, finalizing invoices, and/or tracking deliveries.
Experience planning and managing events and meetings.
Ability to understand and work with large, complex systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to document workflows and processes.
Rigorous attention to detail.
Experience analyzing large datasets.
Proven ability to adhere to a broad range of compliance requirements.
Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate for the position of Infrastructure Operations Analyst has the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as business administration, computer science, computer information systems.
Four or more years of experience in information technology, infrastructure or operations.
Asset management experience.
Experience reviewing legal contracts for vendor or customer agreements.
Knowledge of fiscal planning, business case development, and contract management.
Advanced SharePoint and workflow skills.
Project management or related certification (e.g. Agile Scrum, Six Sigma, Business Analyst, ITIL Foundations, etc.).
THE WORK YOU WILL DO The Infrastructure Operations Analyst provides administrative, procurement, financial, and customer agreement support to the Infrastructure Services for ITS. This role owns and coordinates the infrastructure operational calendar and reports on service performance through compliance with established SLAs and Infrastructure service events to key stakeholders.Â The Infrastructure Operations Analyst conducts event planning, generates audit reports, supports asset management, and collaborates with customers and vendors.Â This role participates in the procurement and purchasing processes and tracks maintenance agreements and renewals. The Infrastructure Operations Analyst demonstrates ITS values in action.
Job Accountabilities: The Infrastructure Operations Analyst:
Facilitates the procurement of goods or services by reviewing vendor proposals with the team, soliciting quotes from vendors, creating purchase orders, completing accurate procurement data entry, and ensuring the timely delivery of equipment and/or services. Processes all incoming equipment orders and confirms that all vendors are paid in a timely manner. Orchestrates the review and negotiation of legal documents across the organization as required.
Works collaboratively to build strong customer relationships. Gains insight into customer pain points, challenges, and needs. Advocates for the customersâ point-of-view when identifying priorities and presenting project solutions. The Infrastructure Operations Analysts supports a team of technical staff and managers that provide critical services to the university including wired and wireless networks, cable infrastructure, disaster recovery, data center, and communication and collaboration services.
Supports growth in programs, projects, services, and innovations. Ensures the delivery of optimal value to the university by providing an ongoing and accurate audit and analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends. Supports quarterly and fiscal year planning and analysis.
Develops key performance indicators and closely tracks metrics to evaluate realized benefits. Identifies and mitigates risk by leading routine status meetings to monitor project updates, manages change requests, and escalates disruptions and dependencies to department leadership as necessary.
Demonstrates proficiency in project management tools, service management frameworks, and ITS technology strategy. Performs regular project documentation activities. Collects project data and analyzes data to identify opportunities, risks, and progress. Communicates analyzed data to the appropriate stakeholders.
Identifies and implements innovations to streamline, automate, or improve existing team processes and tools. Conducts and schedules various training sessions for cross-functional project teams to align on best practices. Supports meeting setup and scheduling, authors meeting agendas, creates summaries and notes, and follows-up on action items.
