The Network Analyst is responsible to manage, monitor, maintain and enhance the USS corporate enterprise network, including WAN, Voice, data center and various complementary technologies employed in a heavy-industry environment. The Network Analyst provides technology expertise and process leadership in the application of new and existing technologies to deliver comprehensive solutions to USS customers. The Network Analyst participates in, and may lead projects within the area of responsibility, and may participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsible for all aspects of the health and stability of the USS network in Pittsburgh and at remote plant facilities.
Support for network incident and event management including investigation, troubleshooting, reporting , resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action management
Designs network solutions using approved, standard technology in cooperation with peers, vendors and partners
Manages Networking support of key customer projects and contributes to projects across the entire organization
Investigates new technology and innovative solutions including identification, testing and business case development
Monitors networks for performance, security and stability – takes action to identify trends and proactively address issues
Contributes to core business processes including business plan development, expense tracking, project planning & development, demand plan management, inventory tracking, standards compliance, audit coordination, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning
