The Data Center of Excellence (CoE) department sits within the Transformation & Tech COO division with is part of Technology. The group is charged with deliver the firm's data strategy. It consists of about 40 people located across London, New York, Montreal and Shanghai focusing on Front to Back Ecosystems, Data Accessibility and Data Framework.
The Data CoE Accessibility team is looking for an experienced software engineer to lead development of key components of the Firm's strategic analytics platform. The candidate must have significant experience of developing infrastructure & tools to support a large scale analytics platform, including cataloging, governance, access and data protection capabilities. They must also be able to work well in a matrixed, virtual team environment, using agile delivery methodologies. Good understanding of enterprise security and development environments is preferred in order to integrate the analytics platform into existing SDLC & security frameworks.
Experience or exposure to working in Data Technology
A strong understanding of: Python, Java, Linux, RDF, systems & data architecture, entitlements & security architecture, analytics infrastructure.
Experience of multiple types of financial services dataset (transactions, ref data, market data, alternative data)
Technical team leadership experience
Excellent communication skills for influencing EDs and MDs in both Technology & BU
Global team working & collaboration skills
