The Computer Services Administration is currently recruiting for an Associate NOC Analyst to join their team.
The Associate NOC Analyst position is a 1st level position that works on the Network Operations Center (NOC) Team located at the Customer Data Center at 1 Reads Way. This team is responsible for resolving critical Infrastructure issues 24 hours per day 7 days a week. The Associate NOC Analyst position monitors/addresses issues pertaining to the most critical systems in the organization. These systems include but are not limited to; Microsoft core components such as Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, Authentication, System Center Operations Manager for elevated monitoring and alerting, Exchange Mail, File/User Servers, Share Point, Spectrum and DNS.
The Schedule is as follows: Sat 11:00am – Sat 11:30pm Sun 11:00am – Sun 11:30pm Mon 11:00am – Mon 7:30pm This would be 1 in a bi-weekly period. Tue 11:00am – Tue 7:30pm This would be 1 in a bi-weekly period. Wed 11:00am – Wed 7:30pm This would be 1 in a bi-weekly period. *** 72 hours per pay period (4-12 hour days.)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and operate control consoles of computer systems, network facilities, data centers, and all attached peripheral equipment.
Optimizes system utilization by adjusting system resources in order to meet Service Level Agreements.
Detects, analyzes and resolves routine computer production processing problems. Escalates problems according to procedures.
Coordinates scheduled and unscheduled system outages, upgrades and facility management Services
Provides basic technical assistance, support, turnover training to maintain operational readiness.
Provide advanced 1st level problem resolution assistance and constituent support for assigned systems, products and facilities. Be willing to participate in a strong team atmosphere with other NOC resources and 4th level infrastructure members.
Troubleshooting of all Infrastructure problems and involving NOC 2nd and NOC 3rd level for guidance as needed.
Responsible for Problem Resolution of infrastructure issues and critical system applications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to manage and maintain the current NetBackup/Avamar environment
Ability to manage and maintain the current SAN environment
Ability to manage and maintain Brocade Director switches
Ability to work closely with business requirements to meet timely project schedules
Ability to deploy, support and maintain production Windows platforms in a diverse environment
Ability to perform tasks such as detailed design, installation, configuration and upgrading of servers
Ability to maintain operating systems, firmware and hardware through regular maintenance.
Ability to Perform troubleshooting, incident and problem management to meet service level objectives
Ability to Demonstrate knowledge in VMware infrastructure methodologies, performance tuning, capacity planning, and issue diagnosis (ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, VDS, AutoDeploy, etc.)
Ability to coordinate, guide and execute media recovery exercises.
Ability to manage, coordinate, and remediate server vulnerabilities.
Ability to assist with automation around patch and software deployment.
Ability to create and manage FTP solutions used for file distribution.
Ability to manage DNS records through and IP management system.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge in Microsoft Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 operating systems for physical and virtual platforms. Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration or experience consistent with the NOC Analyst job responsibilities.
Five years of experience in Information Services desired.
Should be functioning without close supervision within a three month period.
