The University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking a Center Operations Manager for the Health Services Research Data Center (HSRDC) within the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the School of Medicine. The incumbent will be responsible for the following job functions: - Managing contracts and communication of a growing University-wide data center that provides secure data storage and analytics for researchers using sensitive health data - Performing outreach work and acting as the primary representative of the Center - Working collaboratively with other members of the team - Interfacing with research groups and departments throughout the University to think strategically about data use - Maintaining regulatory compliance - Overseeing business plans and strategic development of the data center Additionally, the incumbent must have some experience in financial management, however, this will not constitute a large percentage of their workload. The incumbent should have experience working with contracts, health data, and outreach. The ideal candidate will have University and supervisory experience.
Baccalaureate in Business, a related field, or a combination of education and experience. Five years of management experience with specific experience handling University cost centers. Five years of experience with data use agreements and institutional review boards. Some financial knowledge is key to this position. Must have University experience and experience managing health data.
